In the details...

With an extensive background in multi-family housing; Ms. Smith had overseen the property operations of over 1,600 units and has mentored many in the area of property management. Despite her experience, homelessness became a reality for Ms. Smith and her family shortly after losing her job. A single mother of 3 children, Ms. Smith’ experience becoming homeless was both a scary and emotional. With knowledge of community resources, she contacted ACCESS Housing and was enrolled into the agency’s Family Shelter Program and then into the Home Again Family Support Program where she and her family received transitional housing supportive services which included case management and financial assistance. Ms. Olmos formed a self-sufficiency and permanent housing plan and secured a position as a Compliance Manager for a property management company. Nine months after coming to ACCESS Housing, she and her family successfully exited from the program and continues to work hard on achieving her personal goals.
